At the District 1220 Handover and Awards event on 1st July, Bolsover Rotary was given the award for the best use of Social Media.
This is wonderful accolade for our club from Rotary District 1220, which includes 78 clubs in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and South Yorkshire, with over 2,000 members
Incoming Club President Graham Weighill received the award from District Governor Martyn Bye, who was bewigged for the occasion (he is serving a second year as District Governor and decided to adopt a disguise in case anyone recognised him!)
It is the second time the Club has received a technology linked award, having received the District Website award in 2016. (Read about that here)
The club’s social media presence is managed by Immediate Past President Paul Copper, and centres mainly on the Facebook page which Paul diligently keep up to date with all our activities and events.
