Newly elected President Graham Weighill began his year in style by introducing new members to Club
John and Marion Gerrard have transferred their membership of Rotary International from Bakewell to Bolsover. As well as being more convenient for them, they are personal friends of President Graham, so it was particularly appropriate that he was able to start his year in office with such a pleasant task.
They were welcomed by all the members, not only as Bolsover Rotarians but as an omen for another successful year in the Bolsover area.
John and Marion are volunteers with the local branch of the Royal British Legion, and one of President Graham’s aims for his year is for Rotary to be more involved with the Poppy Appeal, in partnership with Bolsover Council. Rotary will be particpants in the Staveley Armed Forces weekend on 9/10 July which is organised by Staveley Armed Forces and Veterens’ Association.
