Bolsover Rotary held 50/50 raffles on both days of the Bolsover Beer Festival, an excellent event organised by and on behalf of the 4th Bolsover Scouts.
The concept is a simple but successful one and has become popular at many events where Rotary has taken part. Half of the ticket sales proceeds on each day are offered as the prize for that day, while the remainder goes to Bolsver Rotary’s charity account.
The raffle winner on Friday was Michael who won £100. He had used his last £1 to buy a ticket.
Pictured is Rotary member Geoff Davis presenting the winnings to Michael.
The winner on Saturday was Blanche who is going to use the £221 she won as extra pocket money on the first holiday she’s had since Covid.
President Geoff Woodhead presented her with the winnings.
The contributions meant that over £300 will be available for donation to local causes.
Thanks also should be made to rotarians who ran the Rotary Crepe van for both days, rainsing more cash for the charity account.
