Once again the Rotary Club of Bolsover supported Bolsover’s annual gala. In it tenth year the event was the biggest and best ever with attendance figures up on last year. The club ran a 50/50 raffle with £365 going to the lucky winner and the same amount to gala funds.
President Chris and Treasurer Margaret were kept busy on the crepes stall with long queues forming to taste the freshly made crepes. Tea, cold drinks and homemade cakes and scones were available from Rebecca and Richard in our main marquee.
The crowds at the arena were thrilled by the stunts and expertise of the Vanders Wheel of Death and the professionalism of a group of gymnasts called Dako Angels who are a group of very professional youngsters, whose team outfits proudly sport the Rotary wheel. There were donkey rides, a bucking bronco, dog show, and a host more acts and stalls. All in all a great family day out for all the community and an event with which the Rotary Club of Bolsover is proud to be associated.
