The Bolsover Rotary Santa Christmas collection was one of the most sucessful ever, with almost £5,000 being added to our Charity account – all due to the generosity of all the people in the area who supported us.

As well as the many people who gave us money during the collections, our sincere thanks go to the management and staff at all the venues where we collected.
The teams at Tesco in Clowne, Tesco in Chesterfield, and Morrisons in Bolsover were very supportive, and donated boxes of sweets for Santa to give to children.
Our thanks go as well to Junction Arts and Bolsover District Council for accommodating us at the Christmas Festival and Lantern Parade on 29 November, and the traditional Santa in the Marketplace event on the Saturday before Christmas. Both events contributed handsomely to the overall collection.
Every last penny of the money collected has gone to our charity account, and will be used to support needy causes locally and wider afield during 2026.
In 2025 we were able to support these local groups:
Hillstown Miners Welfare; Palterton Residents’ Association; Hollingwood Residents’ Association; The Freedom Project; Bolsover Castle Bowls Club; Junction Arts; Hollingwood Sheds; Calow Gardening Group; Just Good Friends; St Lukes Mission; SNAPPIT (Young mental health support); Friends of Bolsover Parks; Bolsover in Bloom; Bolsover Drama Group; Ireland Colliery Band; the Choir at the Royal;
with Community Grants totalling over £9,700. We also gave £1,300 to overseas projects.
If you know of a local group which needs help with a project, complete a Community Grant application on this website, and send it to us.
