Rotary Members and their guests gathered at Collingthwaite Farm near Welbeck to learn about the unique qualities of the Stichelton Cheese which is made by the dairy on site.
We were treated to a tour of the farm, which inclded seeing some of the herd being milked. We were shown the “creche” (pictured) where the calves are nurtered to provide a future for this unique cheese.
The Stichelton Dairy supplies high quality blue cheese to the Welbeck Farm shop and pther local retailers. The visit was rounded off with a tasting session and an opportunity to buy some of the cheese.
