The Rotary Club of Bolsover recently held its charter dinner to celebrate its 37th Birthday and some 100 guests and members attended the event at the Hostess Restaurant.
In welcoming the Presidents of the 14 Rotary Clubs from near & far, Bolsover President Chris Toyne wondered what was the word to describe “a collection of presidents”.
Following a magnificent dinner various speakers bought their ideas and greetings to and were followed by Geoff Davis raconteur, comedian and local historian, who gave a side splitting account of local people and events that have shaped and influenced his life.
President Chris thanked all those who attended and said “an evening of celebration and friendship is part of Rotary thinking, tonight truly reflects our commitment to carry out our aims and ambitions for ourselves and others”.
