On a break from our normal Wednesday meetings, members of Bolsover Rotary, were joined by partners and friends on a visit to Alleppey Kitchen at Bolsover.
The Alleppey Kitchen is located at the Castle Arms pub in Bolsover and describes itself as a “slice of Kerala in England”.
The owner, and host for our splendid evening, is Sree Balachandran, and he gave us a short introduction to the restaurant and his aim to make it the best Asian restaurant in the area. He told us about his community garden, which is open to the locals to get some r&r from the stresses of daily life, and where he hopes they will soon become self sufficient in vegetables for the restaurant.
He aims to attract customers who return again and again, and judging from the responses of our members and guests, he will not be disappointed.
