Bolsover Rotary meets most Wednesday evenings at Twin Oaks Hotel, Church Lane, Palterton, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, S44 6UZ.

We arrive about 7:10pm for a drink then have a brief Carvery (Twin Oaks do an amazing Carvery) meal then we move to a conference room to continue the meeting.

We may have a speaker wher we invite someone to give us a 40 min talk about their chosen subject, or we might be planning a future project, or assessing requests for support from local groups.

Whatever the night you will be sure of a warm welcome. Contact us: secretary@bolsover-rotary.org.uk

Established in 1980, Bolsover Rotary has been dedicated to serving the local community for over four decades. We are a group of local people who want to support local and international good causes, while enjoying strong friendships and good fun.

Over the years, we have supported many local charities, both with donations of money, and by giving time and expertise to help local events and projects.  We have been associated with Bolsover Gala, The Freedom Community Project, Bolsover Christmas Festival (and the Lantern Parade), the local Royal British Legion, and other local groups.

We also offer a Community Grant scheme where  small local groups can bid for grants for key projects.  This scheme alone has meant that the community has enjoyed the benefit of over £15,000 worth of investment in small but key projects over the last few years.

Bolsover Rotary is part of Rotary International, a global network of over 1.2 million members in 35,000 clubs across more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Rotary’s diverse membership includes people from all walks of life, ages, backgrounds, and professions, who share a commitment to making a positive difference in the world.

Rotary International’s impact has been felt around the world, from eradicating polio in all but a few countries to providing clean water and sanitation to communities in need. Rotary members also provide disaster relief, support education and literacy, and promote peace and conflict resolution.

Whether it’s working to eliminate a disease, improving access to education, or creating economic opportunities for communities in need, Rotary’s members are dedicated to making a positive impact on the world.
