Despite wet weather the Clay Pigeon shoot organised by the Rotary Club was a great success
President Paul Copper hosted around 60 people with a range of skills to try their hand at shooting. The event was held on Saturday afternoon 21st August to raise funds for the Rotary Club
A range of activities were put on to support the shooting, and refreshments were available. A total of £600 was raised despite the inclement weather.
A magnificent range of raffle prizes were donated including a holiday in Whitby; £75 to spend at the Bolsover Jewellers; an M&S hamper; 6 bottles of Rioja wine; and afternoon tea for 2.
President Paul thanked everyone who had been involved in organising the event as well as those who attended, without whom it would not have been the success it turned out to be.
