Saturday 24th October 2020 is World Polio Day when Rotary International, the World Health Organisation and rotarians around the world can celebrate the strides made in the eradication of polio since the inotiative began in the 1980’s.
Bolsover Rotary Club will be planting 4,000 purple crocuses on Inkersall Green to mark the occasion.
Sadly we will NOT be able to ask for volunteers for the crocus planting. Whilst we have public liability insurance, we do not wish to put any members of the public at risk. So we (The Rotary Club of Bolsover) will carry out the planting. However, you are welcome to come and watch at a suitable minimum of 2m distance. Thank you to those of you who have already said you will attend but perhaps we can have another Inkersall/Rotary community event when times are more normalised.
in the meantime you can donate to help the Polio Eradication cause, even if you can’t join us to plant crocus bulbs, just by sending a text.
