On Saturday 14 March 2026, the Calow Community Centre was again the venue for a Bolsover Rotary afternoon tea dance, starring the fabulous Lahdidahs.
The wonderful compliments that we have received are evidence of the popularity of these events. Tickets sell very quickly, so watch out for announcements about our next one.
Thanks go to all the people who prepared the food, and helped on the day.
They managed to put 80 identical afternoon teas- all with multiple savouries, sandwiches and cakes onto decorated tables, served simultaneously, on classic china, with prosecco and lashings of fresh hot tea and coffee. Special dietary requirements were catered for individually, and all cleared away and cleaned up – without any breakages. A wonderful achievement!
