Rotary President David Coupe welcomed three new members to the Club at the meeting on 19th February.
Paula Weighill joined in 2019 as an Associate Member with husband Graham, and, having seen what goes on and the work that Rotary does, they decided that they wanted to play a fuller part in the Club by becoming full members.
They were joined by Patricia Creehan who became interested in Rotary having seen us at work in the community of Bolsover.
Past President Tom McConnell read the “Object of Rotary” to begin the ceremony, to remind all members that membership carries an obligation of service to humanity.
President David explained to the new members that their membership of the Rotary Club of Bolsover brought with it the fellowship of over 1.2m members of Rotary International throughout the world. As members of the international family of Rotary, wherever they go in the world they will be assured of a welcome from the local Rotary Club.
David gave each 0f them a Rotary lapel badge which members wear in their daily lives, and the Rotarians present gave them each a very warm and sincere welcome.
