Bolsover Rotary has just celebrated a very special event – the wedding of two of its members.
How many clubs can claim that two of their long-standing Past-Presidents have married having met at Rotary?
Geoff Davis and Margaret Scott met through their membership of Bolsover Rotary. In fact, both are Past Presidents of the Club, (Geoff was President in 2014-15, Margaret in 2018-19) and both have been awarded Paul Harris Fellowships in recognition of their Rotary service.
On 24th February 2024 they tied the knot, inviting their families, and of course their Rotary friends, to help them celebrate the occasion. In his speech, the Groom said that the two simple words “I do” had provided him with 17 new in-laws!
It is wonderful to see them so happy in each other’s company and we wish them a long and happy life together.
