On behalf of all my fellow members of The Rotary Club of Bolsover, welcome to our Club website.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my presidential year so far. I’ve met and shared with a number of people from other clubs and groups and it is always good to be able share stories and experiences.
The core, however, is still our club. I’m immensely proud of the things we do together, the standing we have in the community and the fun and fellowship we have together.
So far this year we’ve enjoyed a band concert, had a great time assisting Santa at various locations, planted crocuses and been entertained by a number of speakers. Future activities include air rifle shooting, another band concert, a race night and a history walk around Bolsover. In addition to these activities we’ve been able to support various charities and volunteer groups.
We’re soon to induct three new members. I hope they gain as much fulfilment from their membership as I do. I sincerely expect that, in a few years, they will be club president. It’s been an honour to be president of such a supportive, energetic and willing group of people.
I’m looking forward to the rest of the year.
