Rotary President Graham’s FireWalk challenge

On Sunday 6th November Bolsover Rotary Club President Graham Weighill will be participating in a ‘ Fire Walk Challenge’ being held at Mickleover Golf Club.

The challenge will involve taking on a bare-foot walk over red hot embers measuring 800 degrees, to raise money for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance There are no tricks, no special effects, just hot coals.

It costs £1700 for each Air Ambulance rescue mission. However, the service receives no funding from the Government or the National Lottery. It relies totally on donations to continue its crucial service. The Air Ambulance gives people the best chance of survival and recovery.

President Graham commented;

“The Air Ambulance played a crucial role in saving the life of a close friend a few years ago. I am happy to take on this challenge to raise much needed funds for them.

“I have set my target to try and raise enough money to fund one leg of one mission if possible. Both the Air Ambulance and I would be grateful for your support”
